Ph.D. candidate at the Maastricht Institute for Transnational Legal Research (METRO)

Qian Wu is a Ph.D. candidate at the Maastricht Institute for Transnational Legal Research (METRO), faculty of law, Maastricht University, financially supported by the China Scholarship Council. She is also a member of the Ius Commune Research School. 

The topic of her Ph.D. dissertation is “‘Tying in Digital Platforms under the Competition Legal Framework in China and the EU—A Comparative Law and Economics Analysis”. Her research mainly focuses on competition law, and law and economics. Qian has publications in both international and Chinese journals, including the Journal of Competition Law and Economics (SSCI). She also participated in the State Administration for Market Regulation project “Market Reform of Natural Monopolies and Anti-monopoly Regulation Policy Research”. 

Before joining Maastricht University, Qian obtained double bachelors degrees of Law/ Finance and Economics of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law in 2015, and double masters degrees of Chinese Civil and Commercial Law of China University of Political Science/ European and International Law of Hamburg University in 2018. She holds the National Legal Professional Qualification of China, and has internship experience in both people's procuratorate and law firm.
