He began his career in August 1976 and joined the Communist Party in September 1978. He is a member of the 18th Party Central Committee, and the Party secretary, president, and chief justice of the Supreme People's Court. He was also a member of the 16th, 17th and 18th Party central committees, and a Standing Committee member of the 9th National People's Congress.
