Law on the Promotion of Rural Revitalization was adopted on 29 Apr. 2021, and entered into force on 1 June 2021.
Interpretation of the Supreme People’s Court on the Application of Punitive Damages in the Trial of Civil Cases of Intellectual Property Infringement was adopted on 7 Feb. 2021, and entered into force on 3 Mar. 2021.
Anti-foreign Sanctions Law of the People’s Republic of China was promulgated on 10 June 2021. There are 16 articles in total. The Law aims to safeguard the sovereignty, security and development interests of the State, and protect the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese citizens and organizations.
On 23 April 2021, “Administrative Measures for Livestreaming Marketing (for Trial Implementation)” (the “Measures”, 网络直播营销管理办法（试行)) were jointly released by the Cyberspace Administration of China, the Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Culture and Tourism, State Taxation Administration, State Administration for Market Regulation and National Radio and Television Administration. The Measures came into force as of 25 May 2021.
In December 2020, China promulgated the Criminal Law Amendment (XI) (刑法修正案(十一)), three articles of which concern biosecurity as well as the prevention and control of infectious diseases such as COVID-19.
