Hongwei Dang is a final-year Ph.D. candidate at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Her doctoral research focuses on sustainable development issues in international investment law and the dispute settlement mechanism. Her thesis seeks to answer the following questions: Do international investment agreements and investment treaty arbitral tribunals support and promote sustainable development? How have international investment agreements and arbitral tribunals considered States and foreign investors' role in the promotion of sustainable development? What can be improved about the investment treaty and dispute settlement regime to support sustainable development? She gained her Master of Laws degree at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law on international law. She holds Legal Professional Qualification Certificate in China. She is now also a digital committee member of CyberArb, an international legal & tech team focusing on the interaction between cybersecurity and international arbitration/ADR.
