Nan Zhang 张南

Associate Professor at China University of Political Science and Law

Dr. Nan Zhang is an Associate Professor at the College of Comparative Law, China University of Political Science and Law. Her research interest is comparative intellectual property law. She was educated in both China and England. She received Herchel Smith Scholarship and Overseas Research Scholarship (ORS) during her Ph.D study at Queen Mary Intellectual Property Law Research Institute, Centre for Commercial Law Studies, University of London. She is an advisor of the Fourth Amendment of Chinese Patent Law and its Implementing Regulation for the National Intellectual Property Administration, People's Republic of China. She is Vice Secretary General of the China Health Law Society,Council Member of China Case Law Association and a founding member of their specialized Intellectual Property Committee. The Beijing Association of Law selected her as a Beijing 100 Distinguished Legal Professional in 2018. Her recent book A Confucian Analysis on the Evolution of Chinese Patent Law System was published by Springer in 2020. She used to work at Linguistic Division of World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva, Switzerland.
