Who Appoints the Chairman of the Supreme People's Court of China? - China Law in One Minute

The National People's Congress (NPC) elects and dismiss the President of the Supreme People's Court (SPC). 

The Standing Committee of the NPC shall appoint and dismiss the vice presidents and judges of the SPC, members of the adjudication committee and the president of the military court upon the request of the President of the SPC.

The President of the SPC shall not serve life; his/her tenure is the same as that of the NPC; he/she shall serve no more than two consecutive tenures.
