What is the crime rate in China? - China Law in One Minute

 

In China, the crime rate was 92.64 in 2019 and 85.85 in 2018.

The number of criminal cases and sentenced criminals in China in the last two years and the crime rate we calculate are as follows:

In 2019, there are 1.297 million first-instance criminal cases, and 1.66 million criminals are convicted, with a total population of 1.40005 billion. The crime rate is 92.64;

In 2018, there are 1.198 million first-instance criminal cases, and 1.429 million criminals are convicted, with a total population of 1.39538 billion. The crime rate is 85.85.

China has not officially announced the crime rate. The above data is calculated based on the number of criminal cases disclosed by the Supreme People's Court.
